Meet Becky Stefani
Founder of Balanced With Becky
Becky has always felt connected to movement. A New Jersey native, she embraced the elegance of ballet and contemporary dance from a young age, unknowingly laying the foundation for her profound connection to yoga.
Yoga, for Becky, transcends the mere physicality often associated with it. Before her relocation to South Florida in 2017, she had taken various yoga classes, finding none that resonated with her soul. That all changed when she stumbled upon Anuttara Yoga Shala, a transformative portal that revealed yoga as a sacred journey.
Immersing herself in Anuttara Yoga's Hatha, Vinyasa, and Raja modalities, Becky accumulated over 400 hours of training. Her initial 200hr RYT in 2020 wasn't just a certification; it was a commitment to deepening her personal practice. Teaching wasn't even on her radar initially—she simply craved a deeper understanding. However, upon completing the training, a profound shift occurred. The teachings she absorbed felt too transformative to keep to herself; it became evident that her purpose was to share the profound messages of yoga with others.
Her classes, influenced by the Kriya Yoga Lineage and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, serve as a sacred space for unlocking inner wisdom and self-realization. In every class, Becky aims to awaken others to their innate healing abilities through the powerful fusion of breath, posture, and boundless potential. She sees herself and her students as eternal learners in the sacred science of yoga, a journey where movement is not just physical but a path back home to yourself.
We experience the journey together through the harmonious world of music and mindful movement. In my classes, we celebrate the essence of yoga, focusing on poses that are immediately effective and contribute to your overall well-being.
My approach is distinct – we focus heavily on the three main components of Kriya Yoga- tapas (discipline), swadhyaya (self-study), and ishvara pranidhana (surrender). You'll encounter familiar sequences and flows, each time unlocking new layers of understanding and mastery over your body.
My philosophy goes beyond poses; it's about daily growth and accomplishing things you once thought impossible, mentally, physically, and spiritually. In my classes, there is not one pose that is better than another; it's about what serves you best in the present moment.
What You can expect from my classes
I place a heavy emphasis on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Kriya Yoga lineage. These ancient teachings guide our practice, providing profound insights into the path of yoga and self-realization.
The journey involves shedding the constant categorization of experiences as beneficial, harmful, or neutral. Yoga teaches us to be present without the burden of judgment. It is in this state that we can truly find enjoyment and fulfillment in life and it’s offerings.
This is your space to explore, grow, and cultivate a mindful practice that extends beyond the mat. Join me in remembering the transformative power that is already inside of you.
